the frame was covered fully inside with WAR https://www.buzzweld.co.uk/standard-war-war-6000ml-chassis-black-kit.html to protect it for years

to add to the comfort (heat+noise) the inside floor of the car was covered with https://www.bitmat.pl/stp-black-silver-mata-wygluszajaca-butylowa-alubutyl STP Black Silver alubutyl BITMAT and subsequently https://www.bitmat.pl/k9s-pianka-wygluszajaca-kauczukowa-9mm-samoprzylepna-izolacyjna-gumowa rubber soundproofing foam in different thicknesses

the Wolf wheels were sand blasted and fully powder coated

new Toyo Open Country MT tires were fitted

front and rear ARB Air Lockers were fitted with control switches next to the drivers hand on the front panel

the drivetrain was fully Ashcroft upgraded

brakes and brake lines were upgraded

engine was modified:

original Polybushes were fitted all round

OME Springs front and rear were fitted to balance the weight of the car

rear springs were fitted with AirLift bags which are operated with individual side adjustments; very helpful to level out the car on campsite and when very heavily loaded to stiffen the rear of the car

front and rear bumpers fully custom made – for the rear one I have a full technical documentation of which I will also hand over to the client. The bumper has many functions including a step covering a winch with the synthetic line threading through it, hi lift mount, table which opens after opening the arm, 2x10ltr slim line cannisters, water tap, loops for high lift access, line mounting points, smallest porta poti box + additional open wall box which can be used to carrying dirty accessories, muddy wellingtons, rubbish or wood for the evening 🔥 .

2 T-Max winches are installed in Simba. 12000lbs front and 9500lbs rear both with synthetic lines and controlled from a remote or from switches next to the drivers seat

All accessory lamps are not cheap chinese ones but Lazer Lamps and Rigid boasting high lumen output and correct beam angle but also ultra high resistance against ingress of water and debris. Front bumper has 2nd gen Tripple R 1000-Elite https://www.lazerlamps.com/triple-r-1000-elite.html boasting over 1,3km of light in the E-Boost mode still containing the E9 approval, top bracket has 2x ST8 Evolution lamps https://www.lazerlamps.com/st8-evolution.html which are incredible for night time off road roaming and handy when inspecting a place to camp. Rear light are Utility 25 lamps https://www.lazerlamps.com/utility25.html which are operated either with reverse gear or full on or full off for convenience. Also on the bar tere are to Ignite lamps https://www.rigidindustries.com/ignite-diffused-black-surface-mount-20531.html which help to see the always dark corners on the side of the car next to the wheels when you don’t see where you but your rubber foot while moving at night. Each side is fitted with one Scene light https://www.rigidindustries.com/1×2-65deg-dc-scene-light-black-86610.html  so that when you are camping you know where your meal is cooking🙂 Front bumper also has LED driving lights https://www.rigidindustries.com/d-series-pro-specter-driving-flush-mount-black-2-lights-512313.html individually switched.

The Defender was turned into an Icarus having installed the AluCab roof conversion https://www.alu-cab.com/product/icarus-roof-conversion/ and so it can fly it was also fitted with a 270deg Awning from AluCab https://www.alu-cab.com/product/270-shadow-awning/ and on the other side a shower cube https://www.alu-cab.com/product/the-alu-cab-shower-cube/

Dual function Elgena Nautic Compact ME6 water boiler was added to Simba https://www.elgena.de/collections/boiler/products/nautic-compact?variant=14365125507 which is heated with either wet Webasto (Original Webasto fitted in the left wing of the car) behind a custom made lockable door trap, car water system or electrically giving you 6 ltrs of piping hot water whenever you need it.

Talking about Simba’s heat there is also dry Webasto Airtronic 2000 fitted which warms up the car in no time. You can also switch it on from a remote when you are up in the roof at night and you feet get too cold. Also fitted with programmable controller.

Further when it comes to heat the Defender front windscreen is heated and side mirrors have been changed to SPAFAX VM3H unbreakable and heated mirrors http://www.spafaxmirrors.com/products/ which you switch on together with the windscreen.

primary water tank (Frontrunner) is fitted to Simba in the left wing with the water inlet next to gullwing window, secondary tank is installed in the floor recess behind driver seat. total capacity of tanks exceeds 80ltrs. Water is pumped with a fully brass made pump.

Frontrunner Defender Gullwing windows are installed on both sides of the car. Left one gives access to the kitchen cabinet. Right one has a custom made interior which houses all the mens toys like axes, machete, saw, shackles etc

Scheel-mann heated seats are super comfortable http://scheel-mann.com/seats/touring and even a very long drive is not a tad bit tiring for the back. They are also clad with custom made covers

the dashboard is fitted with a custom shelf made by AluCab which is super handy for all those little things which you always have and never have anywhere to put them

on the dashboard shelf there is a Garmin Compass fitted so that you always know where you are going

The bonnet houses a very spacious bag in which you can hide the awning walls https://www.alu-cab.com/product/270-shadow-awning-side-panels/ and chairs etc. Bag comes from Brad Blunt from Bluntforces and is made to high military standards.

both diffs are protected with solid aluminum covers to give them extra protection from the elements

uhf radio is installed including the antennae but never connected

cb radio is there and it’s a must when travelling with mates

folding side table (fully custom) is fitted on the left side of the car just under the kitchen gullwing which is mainly used as prep table

Focal speakers + subwoofer behind the cubby box connected to a premium radio make travelling super enjoyable
